Sofia Araújo, who arrived at the Mediterranean Games in excellent physical condition, stood out in today's match for her talent, discipline, determination, and intensity. She executed plays of high technical level and remarkable tactical vision, finding open spaces and delivering decisive, powerful shots at critical moments. With the support of her partner, Ana Catarina Nogueira, creating winner situations from her excellent serving, Araújo was able to shine. Of the pair's 46 winners, 31 were accomplished by Sofia. Likewise, the Portuguese player made 16 errors (of the 33 recorded by the pair), some resulting from higher-risk technical decisions. In any case, we also congratulate Ana Catarina Nogueira, who demonstrated her best performance of the year, curiously playing on the right side, something unusual for her in recent years.
