Vilamoura is currently buzzing with the excitement of padel as it hosts<\/span> the 2026 Vilamoura Summer Cup<\/b>, which will run<\/span> until 16 August<\/b> at the<\/span> Vilamoura Tennis & Padel Academy<\/a><\/b><\/span>. The tournament,<\/span> which is senior category<\/b> and<\/span> 10,000 class<\/b>, is one of the key events on the Portuguese Padel Federation\u2019s (FPP)<\/a><\/span><\/strong> official competition calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n

With<\/span> men\u2019s and women\u2019s categories from 1 to 6,<\/b> the event brings together <\/span>a maximum of 350 pairs <\/b>\u2014<\/span> 152 in the women\u2019s draw and 198 in the men\u2019s<\/span> \u2014<\/span>. Among them are some of the<\/strong><\/span> best players in the <\/b>Portuguese national padel rankings<\/b><\/a><\/span>, such as <\/span>Peu Ara\u00fajo<\/b><\/a><\/span> and <\/span>Pedro Gra\u00e7a<\/b><\/a><\/span>, currently ranked number one and two in the country, and <\/span>J\u00e9ssica Para <\/b><\/a><\/span>and <\/span>Micaela Para<\/b><\/a><\/span>, both in fifth place.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament is being held at two venues: the Vilamoura Tennis & Padel Academy, with nine courts (seven indoor and two outdoor), and Padel 4 Move Albufeira, with six indoor courts, making a<\/span> total of 15 courts<\/b>. The competition, which began on 12 August, uses the<\/span> Head Padel Pro S as its official ball<\/b> and offers prize money<\/span> totalling \u20ac10,000 <\/b>across the M1<\/b> and <\/span>F1<\/b> categories<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

For five days, the cream of Portuguese padel will gather in Vilamoura. Among them, Peu Ara\u00fajo <\/strong>and Pedro Gra\u00e7a <\/strong>will have the chance to win another trophy before heading to Taranto to represen<\/strong>t the Portuguese national padel team<\/span><\/a> at the<\/span> 20th Mediterranean Games in 2026<\/a>.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
