MVP OF THE FIP PLATINUM TOURNAMENT IN LYON Martina Calvo showed herself to be in excellent physical condition, with determination and talent, recovering difficult-to-execute balls and bringing a level of aggressiveness to the game, which forced her opponents to maintain maximum concentration. Of the pair's 39 winners, 26 bore her signature, with a wide variety of technical executions: smashes (16); forehand and backhand volleys – both cross-court and down-the-line – (6); wall drops (2); backhand baseline shots (2). She displayed herself as an offensive player, provoking 17 errors from her opponents through her responses. Nonetheless, she also committed 17 errors throughout the match, some unnecessary, due to the anxiety of closing points. A player with a promising future given the talent she already demonstrates.
