The San Luis FIP Gold has crowned its champions. In a thrilling final decided over three sets, the Argentinians Alex Chozas and Juani Rubini defeated the Spaniard Alex Ruiz and the Argentinian Franco Dal Bianco 6-2, 6-7, 7-6.
For Rubini, currently ranked 73rd in the FIP rankings, this victory in Mexico is particularly special: it is his first CUPRA FIP Tour title of the 2026 season. Chozas, meanwhile, has secured his second trophy of the year on Mexican soil, having been crowned champion at the FIP Silver in Aguascalientes last April.
With this victory, both champions have added 150 points to their FIP rankings. In financial terms, the tournament, held outdoors from 18 to 22 August, offered prize money totalling €60,000, with each champion taking home €3,750.
